Seven years ago, I took a massive leap of faith. With a studio full of raw glass, a freshly fired torch, a heart full of nervous excitement, and a camera, I officially opened the digital doors of Gaia's Glasswear on Etsy.

Before I ever had my own dedicated website, Etsy was the launchpad that allowed me to turn my passion for glass art into a living, breathing reality. Today, as I look back on seven incredible years of melting, fusing, and creating, I am completely overwhelmed by gratitude for the global community that helped build this dream.

When you start an online artisan shop from a local studio in Sherwood Park, you wonder if your work will resonate outside your own community. Etsy answered that question for me in ways I never could have predicted. Over nearly a decade, my glass jewelry and botanical sculptures found their way into homes across Canada, the United States, and around the world.
